Mobile network operators face universal challenges in delivering high-quality voice, data and SMS roaming services to users. The Roaming Quality Enhancement Workshop brought together 14 hi-H member companies to share roaming experiences and discuss initiatives for universal improvement. Workshop participants were united by a shared vision to improve customer experience, support the growth of business lines, and strengthen the influence of fellow hi-H partner members in the market.
A follow up session of Roaming Quality Enhancement Workshop was introduced during 2018 MWC Shanghai Mobile workshop. CMI has displayed the result of bilateral roaming quality test among participated members
since 2017, while DT and AT&T presented the important of roaming quality from user experience side and new generation of network side respectively.
Other roaming quality enhancement initiatives covered in the workshop included VoLTE roaming quality, smartphone apps for roaming common fraud practices, and steering of roaming for quality.
A follow-up workshop was held during June 2018 in Shanghai, focusing on roaming quality test results and customer experience.
